What is My Jewel Vault?
My Jewel Vault is a website. This website is used to store
information transmitted to it from The Q Report proprietary
software. My Jewel Vault allows members to view their Q Reports,
add additional Q Reports to their personal database and submit
a claim in the case of a loss. The Jewellers Loop Pty Ltd
owns all proprietary software for myjewelvault.com.au and
the Q Report.
A Q Report will contain an insurance Policy issued by Chubb
Insurance Company of Australia Limited. As such information
contained in this report and stored on myjewelvault.com.au
will be accessible to them, including personal information.
This information will be dealt with as stated in this Privacy
Policy Statement and the Terms of Use section on this website.
Personal information
Personal information is deemed to be that information, which
clearly identifies an individual or legal entity and that,
through its use, one can reasonably, identify that individual
or entity.
We will collect such information so that we can:
- Identify
you in the case of a claim
- Identify you in the case of a policy renewal
- Administer
your account referred to in your jewel vault
- Provide you
with services
- Clearly identify you and thereby protect
you from unauthorised access to your personal information.
By not collecting such personal data we are precluded from
doing business with you or your legal entity.
Source of personal information
The source of personal information is received by jewellers
(the term “jewellers” is defined as those suppliers
of jewellery who have been authorised by the Jewellers Loop
Pty Ltd to issue a Q Report to their customers) when transmitting
a
Q Report to us.
Use of information
This information will only be shared with related companies
within the Jewellers Loop Pty Ltd and Chubb Insurance Company
of Australia Limited.
Chubb Insurance Company of Australia Limited may contact
you to offer other insurance products.
In the case of a claim, your personal information will be
transmitted to The Australian Jewellers Consortium Pty Ltd
who will manage your claim on behalf of Chubb Insurance Company
of Australia Limited.
The Australian Jewellers Consortium Pty Ltd is a related
company to the Jewellers Loop Pty Ltd and is bound by the
same privacy conditions as described in this disclosure statement.
Your jeweller who previously supplied you with a Q Report
may also contact you to offer additional product or services.
When would we disclose your personal information to a
third party?
By law we may be required to disclose your personal information.
If a Court, in response to a subpoena, or to the Australian
Taxation Office following a direction issued under taxation
laws, submits to us a legally binding document it is our
obligation under the law to release this information.
What steps have we undertaken to protect your personal
information
When a Q Report is transmitted to My Jewel Vault, the system
registers the new report, logs the new insurance policy and
then proceeds to remove the customers name and address from
the website itself.
This data is stored on off line servers at all times.
The System is designed that should you wish to view a copy
of your Q Report online, you can do so by registering online
and being identified only by username and password.
YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS WILL NEVER APPEAR ON DOCUMENTS PUBLISHED
ONLINE IN A Q REPORT PUBLICATION.
In addition all servers are restricted to authorised personnel
only; with extensive use of preventative software and technology
to prevent unauthorised computer access. If your personal
information is no longer required, it will be deleted from
our systems.
Changes in Privacy Policy
Jewellers Loop Pty Ltd will change its privacy policy and
procedures from time to time in keeping with legal requirements,
changes in technology and services we may offer.
These changes will be posted on the website as they occur.
Concerns about privacy
Should you have any concerns about your privacy in respect
to the Jewellers Loop Pty Ltd and its website My Jewel Vault

speak to our Customer Relations Department.
If you feel that we have not satisfied your concerns or
have breached the Privacy Act, you can contact the Federal
